A pickup truck caught fire and exploded last week on Tracy Ferry Road. No injuries were reported from the blaze.
According to the incident report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, dispatched was notified of a vehicle on fire in the 1140 block of Tracy Ferry Road. When the deputy arrived, a pickup truck was fully engulfed.
The 16-year-old driver state started seeing white smoke and realized he lost his power steering. The teen reportedly drove the truck into the ditch to get it off the roadway. The juvenile began seeing flames, exited the truck and moved away from it as it exploded.
The Tracy Area Fire Department responded and extinguished the blaze.
