In Tuesday night’s runoff in the 2024 Preferential Primary for Baxter County Justice of the Peace for District 11, Eric Payne won with 151 votes over Toney Brasuell with 108 votes.
Payne will run unopposed in the November 5 general election.
In the primary runoff election, a total of 297 ballots were cast with five absentee ballots, 39 early voters and 253 voters on election day.
