Friday schedule includes MHHS baseball team at Fair Grove, Mo.

Friday’s schedule includes another road trip for the Mountain Home High School baseball team. The Bombers will be across the state line for an outing with Fair Grove. The varsity game begins at 4:30 followed by the junior varsity contest.

Two area baseball teams will square off for third place in the 2A-1 District Tournament at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison. Cotter and Marshall will take the field at 4.

The semifinals of the 3A-1 District Baseball Tournament will be held at Flippin. The host Bobcats face Valley Springs at 6:30.

Izard County’s baseball team returns to Cedar Ridge High School in Newark for its semifinal game in the 2A-2 District Tournament. The Cougars take on South Side-Bee Branch at 1. If Izard County wins, they’ll play for the championship at 5:30.

The Melbourne baseball team will play in the title game of the 3A-2 District Tournament at Walnut Ridge. The Bearkatz will be paired with the host Bobcats at 4.

In other baseball, Bakersfield travels to Willow Springs, Gainesville hosts Fordland, and Harrison makes the trip to Batesville.

The 2A-1 District Softball Tournament will come to an end at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison. Yellville-Summit faces Greenland for third place at 4, and Cotter takes on Marshall for the championship at 6.

Flippin will be the site for the semifinals of the 3A-1 District Softball Tournament. Valley Springs will play the winner of Thursday’s game between the host Lady Bobcats and Green Forest at 6:30.

Two area softball teams will compete for the championship of the 3A-2 District Tournament at Walnut Ridge. Salem and Melbourne are scheduled for 4.

Izard County’s softball team will take part in the final day of the 2A-2 District Tournament at Cedar Ridge. The Lady Cougars will be matched up with Mount Vernon-Enola in the semifinals at 2:45. The championship game is set for 5.

Elsewhere, Bakersfield heads to Seymour, and Gainesville travels to Mansfield.
