Lakeview man among 3 seriously injured in Ozark County head-on crash

Three people, a man from Lakeview and two people from Searcy, were seriously injured in a head-on crash in Ozark County Monday evening. The driver of one of the vehicles, Angela Adams of Searcy, was flown to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, while her passenger, Mark Adams of Searcy, was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains. The other driver, 24-year-old Blaine S. Tillis of Lakeview, was also taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare.

According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened when Tillis’ truck crossed the centerline and hit the Adams vehicle head-on.

The accident happened on U.S. Highway 160, 15 miles east of Gainesville at 7:45.

Assisting the Highway Patrol at the scene were the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office and the Tecumseh and Bakersfield volunteer fire departments.
