A man was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on an accusation of attacking a female, including biting her finger, at a residence in Clarkridge. Twenty-seven-year-old Henry Silva is facing charges of third-degree domestic battery and interference with emergency communication.

According to an incident report, two Baxter County deputies were dispatched June 17 to a report of a domestic incident in progress on Somerview Drive. A female came running down the roadway and accused Silva of abusing her for three hours, taking her phone to prevent a call for help and breaking it. She stated she called her uncle off Silva’s phone, and he placed the call for help.

One of the deputies noticed a black eye on the victim as she stated Silva hit her in the face. She also stated the mark on her finger was a bite mark, and she claimed he got a hold of her when she attempted to run and dragged her through the gravel. In addition, the victim accused Silva of choking her, making her become unconscious.

The deputies later spoke with Silva. He stated the victim was crazy and making up her account, and he denied taking her phone. Silva pointed the phone inside a pickup truck to a deputy, and the victim said she was not sure if it was hers.

Silva is currently free after posting a bond of $1,500.
