A Baxter County woman was arrested following a report of a stolen vehicle. Thirty-three-year-old Jaime Falconburg is facing felony charges of theft of scrap metal.

According to the probable cause affidavit, on June 5, the victim filed a complaint with the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office regarding a vehicle stolen from his residence. The victim reported his 2001 Chevrolet pickup, valued at over $1,000, had been stolen and stated inside was a Remington shotgun. The victim was in and out of jail, making the exact date of the theft unknown, but it is believed to have occurred between March 1 and May 31.

Investigators discovered on March 15 Falconburg had allegedly sold a catalytic converter to Scrap Daddies Metals in Mountain Home, and the VIN for the converter matched the stolen vehicle. The victim was asked if he knew Falconburg and said he did not.

By removing the catalytic converter from the vehicle, Falconburg caused more than $250 in damage to the victim’s vehicle, not including the cost of replacing the converter. The converter itself was valued at less than $1,000. Falconburg has a previous misdemeanor theft by deception conviction from Utah in 2015.

Falconburg was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on a felony charge of theft of scrap metal. She was released on a $2,500 bond.
