It was a very successful day against the West Plains Zizzers for the Blue teams of the Bomber Youth Football League at Bomber Stadium Saturday morning. The first game of the day came down to the final minutes as the Third Grade Bombers came out victorious 6-0. The next game was just as competitive as the Fourth Grade Bombers got a big stop at a two-point conversion late to seal a 24-22 victory over the Zizzers with Rhett Shrable accounting for all three of the Bombers touchdowns.

The fifth grade team had the lone loss for the Bombers as they were defeated by the score of 27-6. And the final contest of the day, the sixth grade got out to a 35-0 halftime lead and never looked back stopping the Zizzers 35-12.

The Blue teams will be back in action next week at Thayer, Missouri, and the Gold teams will make their debut in Bomber Stadium next week against the Salem Greyhounds with kickoff of the first game beginning at 10 a.m.

Overall, the Gold teams did not fare as well as they picked up one win in four games at Mountain View. The fifth graders had the lone victory at Jacket Stadium as they topped Mountain View 27-6. Mountain Home lost the sixth grade game 20-0, the fourth grade contest 12-8 and the third grade game 32-8.
