Infant among 3 females injured in 2-vehicle accident in Ozark County

An infant is among three females injured in a two-vehicle accident Saturday evening in Ozark County. The child, less than 1 year old, suffered moderate injuries, and her driver, 24-year-old Darci Dimirsky, had minor injuries. Both Wasola residents were transported by air ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. The other driver, 49-year-old Carrie Crawford of Grove, Okla., was sent by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains with minor injuries.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, both vehicles were traveling on Missouri Highway 5. They were nearly 10 miles south of Ava when Crawford reportedly failed to yield as Dimirsky’s vehicle was waiting to make a left turn. Crawford’s vehicle struck Dimirsky’s vehicle from behind. Dimirsky was reportedly not wearing a seat belt.

Dimirsky’s vehicle was totaled, and Crawford’s vehicle had moderate damage in the 6:01 p.m. accident.
