Starting now,for baxter county arkansas, entries for the 2nd Annual 2013 Ultimate Athletic Challenge are being excepted. All entry money is being sent to benefit the Christian Health Clinic. A great way to have fun paying your tithes. Entry amounts are $100(discounted to $70 if paid before Feb 15th) for the 50 + age men. Ages 18-24, 25-35, 36-49 events can be available with enough leaders and may have lower entry amounts. If no one challenges your age group then you will be the reigning ultimate athletic champion for this year. Next year, reigning champions receive 20% off their entry fees. The first 5 entrants receive a free appetizer at Colton's Steak House. BY POPULAR DEMAND, THIS YEAR THERE WILL BE AN ATHLETIC CHALLENGE(AC) THAT ALLOWS PLAYERS TO ONLY PLAY 2-4 EVENTS ADDED ALONG WITH THE ULTIMATE ATHLETIC CHALLENGE(UAC) THAT ALLOWS PLAYERS TO PLAY 8-10 EVENTS. The AC will need 8 new leaders and the UAC will need 7 more leaders. Events for the 50 + age men are the 40 yard dash, 1/4 mile run, bowling, pool, softball hit and throw, tennis, basketball, and 10 mile bike ride. Events can be different from other age groups. Call or text to get the details. Events start on April 1st. Last day to enter will be April 15th. A point system has been developed providing an overall winner at the end for the 50+ age men. Prizes will be determined at a later date. Last year, prizes were $100-$300 basically. Interest is building up. DONATIONS ONLY WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR ANY AMOUNT.
