Lend-a-Hand 2011 donations will all go to the four community support houses of the BRH Foundation, including The Mruk Family Center on Aging, to continue supporting all the programs and services they offer to the aging and their families in our community!

Tune in to KTLO/KCTT on Tuesday, October 25th, for the 2011 Lend-a-Hand Campaign RADIOTHON, from 6A - 12N! Or get another chance to help from 11a-2p, at the REMOTE being held on the parking lot of the BRH Foundation’s four community support houses, across from the hospital!

The Mruk Family Center on Aging is dedicated to improving the quality of life for older adults and their families, in partnership with Baxter Regional Medical Center, Schmeiding Center for Senior Health and Education, and Arkansas State University/MH.

The Mruk Family Center on Aging is located across the parking lot from the Cline Emergency Center entrance, open Mon. - Fri., 9A to 4P, or call 508-3880, for help in dealing with the challenges the aging process brings!

Services offered:
>Support groups for clients and families of those suffering from diseases and infirmities related to aging - dementia, Parkinson’s, stroke, etc.

>AARP safe driving classes

>Family caregiver workshops

>Aging Resource Center, for information and education on aging-related issues; staff assistance available for accessing the materials via books, tapes, DVDs, CD, and Internet

>Professional, community, and home caregiver education and training sessions or meetings
