Olympics Gone Wild... Event of the Day!

"Olympics Gone Wild" will be the theme for David's Trail Day this Saturday at Lake Norfork. Trail day spokesperson and master naturalist Terri Argyle on the many activities offered.

There will also be opportunities for birding this year, including field guides and material on bird calls. The event is pet friendly and open to all ages. There are handicap accessible areas. Argyle says that refreshments, snacks and lunch will be provided.

     Activities for David's Trail Day begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 3 p.m.

A work in progress, David's Trail is being built to honor the memory of community leader David Floyd, a financial advisor with Wells Fargo. It is a joint effort of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the David's Trail Foundation that began in October of 2008. Approximately eight miles of the trail is currently open with another five miles under construction.
