Baxter Regional's Wound Healing Center is located at 907 Burnett Drive, next to Ozark Surgical Group.

You can ask your primary care physician for a referral, but it is not required. Just call 424 - 4935 if you have questions, want more information or if you are concerned about a wound that is not responding to treatment.

The unit opened in October of 2006, and specializes in the treatment of chronic wounds and non responsive conditions. The facility offers hospital-based outpatient care, as well as disease management.

The Baxter Regional Wound Healing Center has a staff of physicians, nurses, technicians, staff and administrators with more than 50 years of combined experience in chronic wound treatment, and they work closely with the referring or primary care physician on the case.

The facility now has three hyperbaric oxygen chambers to meet the needs of patients in their wide service area.

Chronic wounds are found often in an aging population such as ours, as vascular disease and diabetes frequently become issues which must be handled in an expeditious manner.
