Hospice of the Ozarks...We Honor Vets

November is National Hospice Month and your local Hospice of the Ozarks office is located at 701 Burnett Drive, behind Baxter Regional. They can be reached at 508-1771 in Mtn. Home, or at 1-800-711-9596 from Marion County. Established in 1979, the Mtn. Home facility serves Baxter and Marion counties, and is approved by Medicare, Medicaid, CHAMPUS and private insurance. As a not-for-profit subsidiary of BRMC, their services are provided without regard to ability to pay.

The hospice concept focuses on caring for people and ensuring their comfort. Special programs, such as “We Honor Vets”, honors veterans in their care, should they wish it, including a ceremony of recognition and red, white and blue prayer shawls if they want one. It also helps veterans and their loved ones find and access special services available to them

The Hospice House residential and acute care facility is a 12-bed, 14,000 sq. ft. facility located on the BRMC campus at 744 Long St. Call 508-1220 to ask about visiting the facility.
