Daniel C. 'Don' Cockrum, 73, Cotter (Roller)
A memorial service for former Baxter County Sheriff and Collector Daniel C. "Don" Cockrum of Cotter will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 in the Roller Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens.
A Navy veteran, the 73-year-old Cockrum was also elected to the office of Baxter County Treasurer and later served as the administrative assistant to the county judge. He was the former owner of the Dogwood Grocery and Laundry and Economy Tire.
Daniel "Don" Cockrum is survived locally by his wife, Janice; a daughter, Collette Chandler of Bull Shoals; a sister, Bonnie Cockrum; and a brother, Frank Cockrum also of Mountain Home.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, or Baptist Health Foundation in Little Rock.
