Brandon Palaniuk is $100,000 richer. The Rathdrum, Idaho, native took the lead on day one and never relinquished it as he won the Bassmaster Elite Series TroKar Quest on Bull Shoals Lake.
Palaniuk caught five fish weighing 12 pounds, 15 ounces on the final day. His four-day total was 20 bass at 78 pounds, six ounces, giving him the biggest chunk of the $600,000 pot.
Britt Myers of Mount Holly, North Carolina, was second with a total weight of 66 pounds, eight ounces, as he edged out Matthew Herren of Trussville, Alabama, by a single ounce. Edwin Evers of Mannsville, Oklahoma finished fourth; and rounding out the top five was Brent Chapman of Lake Quivira, Kansas.
The final Carhartt Big Bass of the Day was caught by Cliff Pace of Petal, Mississippi, weighing four pounds, one ounce.
