Heslep named Faculty Member of the Year

Karen Heslep, business/management instructor, was selected as Faculty Member of the Year. Heslep has been a faculty member at ASUMH for five years. Prior to joining the faculty, she served as ASUMH’s Director of Marketing and Recruiting for eight years. Heslep acknowledges receiving this award to be a highlight in her career.

“It has been exciting to be a part of ASUMH since 1995. Watching the college develop and getting to be part of that growth has been amazing. But what makes working at ASUMH truly special is watching our students transform. Many come to us uncertain of their future and lacking confidence in their ability to succeed. It is inspirational to watch them overcome these barriers and ultimately accomplish their goals,” said Heslep.

Heslep will both recognized in October at the annual conference of the Arkansas Association of Two-Year Colleges in Hot Springs.
