Respiratory Care Team places at Sputum Bowl

Students from Arkansas State University-Mountain Home (ASUMH) placed second out of 11 teams competing in the Arkansas Society for Respiratory Care (ASRC) Sputum Bowl. Sputum Bowl is an annual quiz bowl event open to practitioner and student teams at the ASRC annual conference. Teams compete on their knowledge specifically related to respiratory science. Second place team members include Shelby Chatman of Mountain Home, AR; Sean Lally of Mountain Home, AR; and Magen Lambert of Mammoth Spring, AR. Tom Jones, ASUMH Program Director, received the 2012 Practitioner of the Year Award for the Northeast District. Pictured with the team is ASUMH Director of Clinical Education Janie Castro-Rios.
