Over 200 community residents stopped by the KTLO studios to wish Jim Bodenhamer well in his retirement at a reception held Friday in his honor. Bodenhamer, who retired December 28th after 41 years as a reporter in Mountain Home, the last 36 year spent at KTLO and Classic Hits 101.7, and his wife Julie Stewart, a former KTLO reporter, greeted friends, family and loyal listeners for over two hours.
Bodenhamer, who began his career at KTLO in 1977, expressed his surprise and delight that so many folks came by to say hello and share stories of his years on the air.
Bodenhamer was news director at the station from 1981 to 2010.   Prior to that, he served five years as a reporter and the associate editor at The Baxter Bulletin.
