HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) _ Paul Baxter scored 19 points and James Thomas added 12
to help Sam Houston State record a wire-to-wire victory 63-52 over Central
Arkansas on Thursday night.
Sam Houston State (11-6, 4-1 Southland) also had a 44-34 rebounding advantage,
with Thomas leading the way with eight.
Central Arkansas (5-10, 0-5) was led by LaQuentin Miles, who scored 13 points
and had three steals. Jordan Harks had eight rebounds.
Sam Houston State had a 26-18 scoring edge off the bench and an 11-6 edge off
second-chance points.
Neither team shot the ball well. Sam Houston State had a field-goal percentage
of 38.5 percent, while Central Arkansas had just 35.7.
