Middle Tennessee rips Arkansas-Little Rock 82-50

     MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) _ Neiko Hunter scored 15 points to lead five players
in double figures, and Middle Tennessee took control with a 24-6 run in the
first half and cruised to an 82-50 victory over Arkansas-Little Rock in a Sun
Belt Conference game on Thursday night.
     Shawn Jones had 12 points for the Blue Raiders (15-4, 7-1), Marcos Knight had
11 and Tweety Knight and Raymond Cintron added 10 each.
     Middle Tennessee shot 56 percent from the field (28 of 50) and 64.3 percent
from 3-point range (9 of 14). The Blue Raiders, who have won eight of their past
nine games, also won the rebound battle 37-25. UALR was 18 of 51 from the field
and 3 of 11 from beyond the arc.
     Trailing 8-5 early, Middle Tennessee's run gave it a 29-14 advantage culminated
by Cintron's 3-pointer with 6:15 remaining. Marcos Knight and Cintron scored
eight points each during the streak.
