Saturday's sports schedule

     It's an unusually busy Saturday with basketball and wrestling on the local schedule.

     The Mountain Home Invitational Tournament, one of the area's biggest junior-high basketball tournaments, gets underway today. In girls' action, Bergman and West Plains tip off at ten a.m., the host Junior Lady Bombers take on Highland at 12:20, and Flippin meets Batesville at 2:40. On the boys' bracket, Bergman faces Highland at 11:10, Mountain Home plays Batesville at 1:30, and Flippin takes on Harrison at 3:50.
     Another local basketball tournament begins late this afternoon. The Izard County Invitational Tournament will be held at Melbourne High School. Calico Rock will play in both of today's junior-high games as their girls meet Cave City at 4:30, and the Junior Pirates will face Rural Special at 5:45. Tonight's senior girls' contest is scheduled for 7:00 between Salem and Izard County, and the senior boys' game will pair Izard County with Rural Special at 8:15
     In other high-school basketball, Cotter hosts Pangburn for makeup action.

     The Mountain Home wrestling team will hit the road as they compete in a tournament at Conway. The first match starts at 9:00.
