By: Matt Sharp

The Arkansas High School Coaches Association began preparations for its summer All-Star Games as coaching staffs were announced for some of the competitions, and two coaches with local ties will be on the sidelines for the football game. After his first season leading the high-school team, Salem head coach Cody Curtis was named as an assistant for the East squad being directed by Harding Academy coach Roddy Mote. Springdale head coach Shane Patrick, a former coach at Mountain Home, was picked as an assistant coach for the West team, and he will serve under Pea Ridge head coach Tony Travis. The All-Star Football Game will be played Friday, June 21st, at seven p.m. at Estes Stadium on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.
