Hannah Miller of Mountain Home was one of several people sentenced to either prison or probation during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

The 24-year-old Miller, who was placed on four years probation in November 2015 in a drug-related case, had two years of her probation revoked and was sentenced to spend time in prison by Circuit Judge John Putman.

In the petition to revoke her suspended sentence filed April 7th, it was alleged that in March, she had been found in possession of drug paraphernalia and that she had failed to make any payments toward her fines, fees and court costs. According to the petition, Miller owes slightly more than $2,400.

Miller was arrested when officers made a compliance check on the home of a parolee and found Miller to be living there as well. She admitted that she had been staying at the home for several days. Officers found various items of drug paraphernalia in the residence.

Amy Henson of Midway was given 12 years probation after pleading guilty to stealing items from the home of a person who was locked up in the Baxter County jail. The jail inmate victim told investigators she had been told that Henson and her boyfriend, later identified as Robert Presley of Mountain Home, had been living in the inmate’s home and that they were allegedly “systematically stealing belongings from the residence and selling them”.

When deputies took the inmate to her residence along State Highway 178 in Midway, she identified a number of items that were missing — including a handgun and a laptop computer. The value of the missing items was placed at slightly more than $4,500.

The probable cause affidavit also makes note of the fact that the house had apparently been lived in recently. There were dishes in the sink, the lights and air conditioner were left on and the words “Amy and Rob” were written on one of the walls.

Henson was arrested, followed by Presley. Presley told officers it was Henson who broke into the house and that he had only been a “guest” for a couple of nights”. Henson said that Presley had been stealing from the residence and from other sites and that some of the stolen items were in a storage unit in Midway rented by Presley. Henson said she had sold the missing handgun to an unnamed individual.

Henson said she believed that other people had also used the residence and that the door was already damaged when she and Presley first arrived there.

A hearing to determine the value of items taken or damaged will be held October 20th. The investigative report indicates that some of the stolen items had been recovered.

Presley, who is an inmate in the Baxter County jail, made a first appearance on the charges against him Thursday and entered a not guilty plea.

Travis Langston of Mountain Home pled guilty to drug-related charges and was given four years probation. He was arrested in early July after an Arkansas State Trooper saw him and asked to speak to him since he believed Langston had an active warrant out for his arrest.

When a check was made, Langston did prove to have an outstanding warrant and was taken into custody. The trooper found methamphetamine and a pipe used to ingest the drug in a small bag Langston was carrying.
