Peter Frampton Raw: An Acoustic Show was filmed in March of last year at the Sunset Center in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
During the concert, Frampton showcased stripped-down renditions of songs from throughout his long career, including such well-known tunes as “Do You Feel Like We Do?,” “Wind of Change,” “All I Wanna Be (Is by Your Side),” “Show Me the Way” and “Lines on My Face.” The veteran guitar whiz also shared some stories behind the various songs.
Frampton is joined by a couple of special musical guests during the performance — his son Julian and his longtime songwriting collaborator Gordon Kennedy.
Since fall of 2015, Frampton has mounted a number of short unplugged treks dubbed “Raw: An Acoustic Tour,” and in February of 2016 he released Acoustic Classics, an album of stripped-down studio versions of songs from his back catalog.
Peter has another acoustic tour lined up this year that runs from March 24 in New Albany, Ohio, through an April 12 gig in Rutland, Vermont. His 2017 itinerary also includes a March 13 performance on the ’70 Rock & Romance Cruise, and a headlining set on June 18 at the Mountain Jam festival in Hunter, New York.
