
A traffic stop, by the Mountain Home Police Department, has resulted in the arrest of 28-year-old Joseph Paul Smith of Mountain Home. According to an arrest affidavit, at 1:21 Wednesday morning, a Mountain Home Police officer pulled over a vehicle known to be registered to Smith. The officer knew he had active warrants out for his arrest.
During a search officers located a plastic baggie of suspected methamphetamine in his front pocket.
Smith was arrested for felony possession of meth, violation of a restricted drivers license and no proof of insurance. He was booked into the Baxter County Jail on a $3,520 bond and remains incarcerated. He is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court in January.
