Late Thursday afternoon Cotter Police Chief Clint Tilton says two persons of interest are in custody and search warrants are in the process of being executed as part of an investigation into the armed robbery of Bayman Beverage in Cotter Wednesday night.
Tilton says a suspect was captured on video during the 9:34 robbery. He did not say if one of the two persons in custody was the individual on the video.
The suspect seen on the video fled into the woods and the canine unit from the Arkansas Department of Corrections at Calico Rock were called to assist in the search, which eventually went cold.
