Boone County Library hosts guest speaker Susan Borne

Susan Borné,the Associate Director of Philanthropy for Arkansas Nature Conservancy will be giving an overview and update on The Nature Conservancy’s work throughout Arkansas Tuesday evening at the Boone County Library at 5:30. She will focus on The Nature Conservancy’s work with the Ozark Rivers Program, Karst Project, and Fire Restoration Program. Other staff involved in the presentation include Carol Wright, Associate Director of Philanthropy, and Erica Engstrom, Executive Assistant, TNC and BNRP Board Member.

Borné joined the Arkansas Nature COnsevancy staff in October 2000. She works on the philanthropy team with the primary focus on planned giving and major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations. She previously worked for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in the Department of Art, Provost Office, and the Donaghey Project for Urban Studies and Design. She has also previously worked for the Rotary Club in Little Rock. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, and has a Master’s degree of Library Science from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Borné is a lifelong Arkansan and enjoys the great outdoors offered the natural state.
