Courtesy of MSO PRTimothy B. Schmit just finished a series of West Coast concerts in support of his latest solo album, 2016’s Leap of Faith, and now the longtime Eagles bassist has announced plans for a spring U.S. tour that will bring him to venues in the Midwest and on the East Coast. The new trek gets underway April 18 in Chicago and is mapped out through a May 14 show in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
Schmit’s tour also includes stops in Cincinnati; Hartford, Connecticut; and New York City, as well as a two-night stand on May 2-3 in Annapolis, Maryland. Tickets for nearly all of the concerts are on sale now.
In addition to showcasing songs from Leap of Faith, the 69-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer songs will play selections from his previous solo releases as well as from the Eagles and his old band Poco.
Released in September, Leap of Faith was Schmit’s first solo effort since 2009’s Expando. He co-produced the album with frequent collaborator Hank Linderman, who also lent vocals and guitar to the project. In addition, Leap of Faith features contributions from a number of interesting guest musicians, including Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench, acclaimed session drummer Jim Keltner, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, Doobie Brothers multi-instrumentalist John McFee and noted Brian Wilson collaborator Van Dyke Parks.
