
Cotter's high school girls' basketball team went on the road Friday and invoked the mercy rule with a 78-41 victory over Kingston. Alexa Wooten was the Lady Warriors' leading scorer with 16 points, Rebecca Martin had 14, Hannia Garay finished with 12, and Samantha Sanchez and Kaycie Beard chipped in ten points each.
Yellville-Summit ended the regular season by splitting their Senior Night games with Marshall.
The Lady Panthers began defeating the Lady Bobcats 52-45. Taylor McFarland led Yellville-Summit with 23 points.
Yellville-Summit did not fare as well in the boys' contest as they were edged out by Marshall 50-48. The Panthers were led by Cameron Curtis with 13 points, Jacob Gentry scored 12, and J.T. Frazier added 11.
Izard County went on the road and came away with a sweep over Armorel.
In the boys' game, the Cougars pulled away late to beat the Tigers 78-59. Taylor Reynolds was Izard County's leading scorer with 29 points, Tanner Brooks had 13, and Justus Cooper and Dallas Farmer added 12 each. The Cougars finish the regular season at 28-9.
Izard County dominated the girls' contest with a 64-29 decision over Armorel. The Lady Cougars were led by Jen King with 15 points, and Kennedy Cooper scored 14. Izard County heads into conference tournament play at 28-5.
Mountain Home Christian Academy went to Conway and was swept by Faulkner County.
The varsity game ended with the Eagles losing to the Falcons 68-28. Matt Woods paced Mountain Home Christian with 23 points.
Mountain Home Christian began the evening by losing the junior varsity contest to Faulkner County 40-27. The J.V. Eagles were led by Trenton Cox with 14 points.
