Saturday schedule includes MH wrestling team in conference tourney

Basketball and wrestling make up the local Saturday schedule.

The postseason begins for the Mountain Home High School wrestling team. The Bombers will be in Bryant as they compete in their conference tournament.

In high school basketball, the 2A-2 Conference Tournament gets underway at the Cotter Coliseum. In girls' action, Flippin tips off at four p.m. against Marmaduke, and Salem meets East Poinsett County at 7:00. On the boys' bracket, Flippin faces East Poinsett County at 5:30, and Sloan-Hendrix takes on Marmaduke at 8:30.
Gainesville's girls will wrap up play in the Lady Tiger Invitational Tournament at Seymour. The Lady Bulldogs, currently ranked fourth in Class 2, will play for the championship at 3:00.

Mountain Home's freshmen girls will compete for the title of the Northwest Arkansas Classic at Harrison. The Junior Lady Bombers and the host Junior Lady Goblins will tip off at noon. In addition, Harrison will also play for the boys' championship immediately afterward against Farmington.
The 2A/1A-3 Junior District Tournament will come to an end with the finals at Izard County High School in Brockwell. The boys' game tips off at 6:00 between Mammoth Spring and the host Junior Cougars, and the girls' contest will follow at 7:15 between as Flippin faces Viola.
The championship games of the 3A-1 East Junior Conference Tournament will be held at the Yellville-Summit Multi-Purpose Facility. The girls' game gets underway at 6:00 between Melbourne and Mountain View, and Marshall's boys take on Bergman at 7:15.
