
The Community Connections for Youth and Families, Inc. have announced three new members have been elected to their board of directors. Program Coordinator Angie Dalton says the three new members are Rev. Heather Clawitter, Pastor at First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home; Rev. Randy Ludwig, Baxter Regional Medical Center Chaplain and Marcus Walser of Twin Lakes Community Bank. They will join current board members Kary Duffy of Yellville-Summit Public Schools; Cheryl Green and Jamie Hardin from Baxter County Juvenile Services; Deborah Knox of Knox Orthopedics; Jeff Quick, CEO of the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas and Norfork Public Schools Superintendent Mike Seay.
Community Connections for Youth and Families, Inc. is a non-profit organization providing community based services for juvenile justice programs in order to meet the needs of youth and families by educating and empowering them to be caring and competent individuals who give back to the community. In addition to juvenile justice application, these programs are also utilized through local school districts and individuals seeking self-help opportunities.
Programs of CCI including after-school tutoring and study hall; Family Resource Center with parenting, teen substance abuse and anger management classes for teens and adults; tT.I.M.E. mentoring and the Baxter County Host Home Program.
