The Twin Lakes Chapter of the Arkansas Volunteer Coordinators Association will host an open house for those interested in volunteering on Monday afternoon at 1:30 in the Knox Room of the Donald W. Reynolds Library serving Baxter County.
Julie Stewart, president of the local chapter, says the event is for anyone with a heart for volunteering. Anyone who supports volunteerism in the area is welcome to the open house to learn more about the association and the local chapter. She says the group shares ideas and resources to promote volunteerism and service. Refreshments will be serves, according to Stewart who says there will be a drawing for a one year membership to AVAC.
