After recently announcing an initial run of 10 headlining dates in April, the veteran arena rockers now have added a series of summer shows featuring Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Joan Jett & the Blackhearts as the opening act. The new concerts kick off June 14 in Mountain View, California, and are scheduled to wind down on June 30 in Bristow, Virginia.
Tickets for Boston’s dates with Jett & the Blackhearts go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 10, via LiveNation.com and the Live Nation app. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased by Boston’s and Jett’s fan-club members starting Tuesday, March 7, at 10 a.m. local time.
One dollar from each ticket sold will be donated to a pair of charitable organizations — Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and Mercy for Animals.
“I am thrilled to have Joan and her band on tour with us this summer,” says founding Boston guitarist and songwriter Tom Scholz. “Not only is she an amazing rock and roll performing artist, but even more exciting to me is that she is a fellow vegetarian and shares compassion for animal welfare.”
