Thursday results include MH soccer teams sweeping Vilonia

The Mountain Home High School soccer teams were able to pick up a sweep over Vilonia Thursday at Bomber Stadium.

The evening began with the Bomber boys shutting out the Eagles 4-0. Mitchell McDonald led Mountain Home with a hat trick, Jason Standridge scored the first goal on a penalty kick, Xaco Baonza dished out three assists, and Corey Queen added an assist. Mountain Home improves to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in the 6A/5A-2.

Mountain Home’s girls also defeated Vilonia in a 4-0 shutout. The Lady Bombers were led by Emma Jones with two goals, Chloe Nosari had a goal and an assist, Sabra Wickersham added a goal, Grace Beckham provided an assist, and Kelsey Pinn recorded five saves at the goalkeeper position. The Lady Bombers are now 3-0 on the year and 2-0 in district play.



Mammoth Spring split a pair of sporting events with Calico Rock. The Bears took the baseball game over the Pirates 13-0. It was a different result in the softball contest as Mammoth Spring fell to Calico Rock 19-0.
