Fall Food Truck Festival on the square Saturday

Mountain Home’s only local domestic violence and support shelter, Serenity, Inc., is hosting a Fall Food Truck Festival Saturday from 11:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the evening. Eight food trucks, two bands and vendors will be on hand with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the non-profit group.Event Coordinator and Board President Jennifer Porter says aside from the food and music she hopes the festival will bring more awareness to Serenity’s mission.

Porter says she thankful to sponsors and donors who have made the event possible.

Another facet of Serenity’s mission is to stop domestic violence before it starts.

The band 9N will take the stage from noon until 2:00, with their classic rock sound. Afterburner, described by Porter as a gospel and oldies band, will take the stage next. Afterburner is a portion of the Burnin Daylight band.

Serenity will also accept non-perishable food items during the festival.
