Local couple looks to work with Trump administration on faith-based initiative

Earlier this month, the Museum of the Bible opened its doors for the first time , and a local couple was in Washington, D.C., for the festivities. Twin Lakes Baptist Church Pastor Sam Bailey and his wife, Annette, also attended some conferences involving President Donald Trump, his administration and his family as they are working with a faith-based initiative.

Bailey says a meeting attended by Annette included President Trump’s daughter Ivanka.

Bailey says this is one of several ocassions where the administration has turned to Christian leaders for guidance.

In addition to his wife’s meeting with Ivanka Trump, Bailey says he has attended a pair of briefings dealing with issues affecting communities across the country.
