
HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) _ Marcus Harris scored 15 points including four
3-pointers in the second half that gave his team the lead for good as Sam
Houston State beat Central Arkansas 82-76 in Southland Conference action on
Wednesday night, snapping a three-game slide.
The Bearkats (7-8, 1-1) were down 48-36 early in the second half when Harris
drained the first of four 3-pointers as part of a 17-3 run that gave them a
53-51 edge with 11:59 to play. A dunk by Jamal Williams capped a 9-4 surge that
stretched it to 75-67 with 2:30 left and the Bearkats held on for the win.
Williams finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Josh Delaney
added 14 points, five rebounds and three assists and Christopher Galbreath Jr.
had 11 points and led with 11 rebounds for his sixth double-double this season.
Jordan Howard led the Bears (7-9, 1-2) with 25 points. Tanner Schmit and
Mathieu Kamba chipped in 11 apiece.
