A Baxter County man was arrested Saturday evening on multiple charges after authorities received a report of his refusal to leave a Mountain Home apartment. According to the Mountain Home Police Department, 39-year-old Michael Flanagan of Gassville was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on felony counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of a controlled substance, a child support non-payment body attachment and two misdemeanor counts of contempt of court. His bond was set at $5,300.

Officers were dispatched to the North Star Apartments on Saturday. When they arrived, Flanagan was located in a back bedroom of one of the apartments. He was arrested on outstanding warrants, and during a search, officers allegedly located a glass smoking pipe with a substance field testing positive for methamphetamine. The pipe is being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab in Little Rock for verification.

Flanagan is scheduled to appear Thursday in Baxter County Circuit Court.
