The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will keep one lane of Highway 177 across Norfork Dam closed through February 22nd at 4 p.m. The temporary lane closure was scheduled to end Thursday. Due to unforeseen events and some severe weather, the closure must be extended to facilitate repairs to a damaged concrete parapet wall.
The closure has been coordinated with local emergency and law enforcement agencies. Officials from the Army Corps of Engineers Mountain Home Project Office regret any inconvenience this may cause. Motorists traveling in this area can expect delays and should obey traffic lights and drive cautiously around equipment and work crews.
