Gregory Mayfield, who has listed himself as homeless at times, entered a guilty plea to charges in two cases during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday and was given four years probation.
The 18-year-old Mayfield admitted he had participated in breaking into a number of vehicles and taking various items including cash.
The first charges were filed against him in mid-October last year and the latest came in mid-January. In the newer case, Mayfield was charged with breaking into a vehicle where a crossbow was taken. Mayfield told Judge John Putman he had “helped carry” the stolen crossbow.
In addition to probation, Mayfield was ordered to pay $270 in restitution.
