Rep. Fortner seeking second term

State Representative Jack Fortner of Yellville has announced he is seeking a second term in the Arkansas legislature. Rep. Fortner’s District 99 includes parts of Boone, Baxter, and Searcy counties and most of Marion County.

Fortner has served as a member on the Marion County Regional Airport Board, the Marion County Planning Commission and is a former Marion County Justice of the Peace. He is a member of the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association, Arkansas Farm Bureau, the Estes-Williams American Legion Hut #61, and the NRA. Fortner is a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War.

Fortner has had several successful automotive-related businesses. He is local radio personality “Jack the Car Guy” on KTLO.

He says it has been his pleasure to serve the people of District 99 as their voice in Little Rock. He has been able to serve many of the people in the district by solving problems and issues on a one-to-one basis. He serves on the Public Transportation Motor Vehicle and Highways Committee, the Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Development Committee, and the Joint Performance Review Committee. He also is the vice-chair of the Agriculture and Forestry Subcommittee.

An Arkansas native, Fortner lives in Yellville with his wife of 48 years, Pamela.
