Kelly Howard of Mountain Home pled guilty to drug-related charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday and was sentenced to four years in prison.
The 39-year-old Howard was arrested in early August last year after a Mountain Home police officer stopped his vehicle on Main Street. The officer reported knowing Howard had a suspended license at the time and should not have been driving.
During a search of Howard’s vehicle, two small plastic bags were found in his wallet containing a substance field-testing positive for methamphetamine.
Howard at first told officers the drug was not his, but belonged to his mother.
