The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission recently announced a road improvement project on a local highway. According to Hometown Daily News, U.S. Highway 160 will be resurfaced between Missouri Highway 5 in Gainesville and Missouri Highway 125 in Taney County.
During its Wednesday meeting, the commission awarded the contract to Leo Journagan Construction Company in Springfield for a low-bid amount of $1.4 million. The Missouri Department of Transportation reports construction will begin sometime later this year and will be completed by the end of the year.
More information on the project will be announced prior to the start date.
