A Cotter man, 36-year-old Keith Tyrell Trivitt, is closing in on 30 bookings into the Baxter County Detention Center following his arrest Thursday morning.
According to the probable cause affidavit, a Mountain Home Police officer stopped the vehicle Trivitt was driving for a traffic violation at approximately 4:00 a.m.
Dispatch advised Trivitt was on active parole with a search warrant on file. When he exited the vehicle, a baggie with .8 of a gram of suspected methamphetamine was located in his right front pocket. He also had a concealed syringe in his right pant leg containing 15 units of a clear liquid. He allegedly admitted both substances were methamphetamine.
He was charged with felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
In October 2017, Trivitt and four others were arrested following a compliance home check by the Arkansas Department of Community Correction.
Trivitt was charged at that time with felony counts of possession of controlled substance, methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also charged by citation with two misdemeanor offenses on an unrelated investigation involving theft of utilities.
At the time of the October compliance home check, Trivitt was on bond from a previous arrest. Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery said in October Trivitt had a total of 28 bookings in the detention center since 2000.
Bond on the latest charges was set at $2,500.
