Several seminars on tap for the Ozarks Sports and Outdoor Expo

The Ozarks Sports & Outdoor Expo will be featuring four seminars on March 24th at the Fulton County Fairgrounds in Salem.

The seminars will be held in the Hickinbotham-Miller Exhibit Building and feature Arkansas Master Gardener Coordinator and Extension Horticulture Specialist, Janet Carson, the Fishing Education Specialist for Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, James Bo Davidson, and Fulton County Extension Agent, Brad Runsick. Individuals can attend all four seminars or just the ones that peak their interest.

The first two seminars will feature Carson. She will discuss “Butterfly Gardens” at 10:00 in the morning, followed by “Spring Flowering Bulbs” at 11:30. Master Gardeners are encouraged by expo personnel to attend these seminars and hear Carson speak.

Davidson will do an afternoon seminar on “Cleaning and Cooking Trout” at 12:30 following the expo’s fishing derby. Youth and their parents are invited to attend.

The final afternoon seminar will be conducted by Runsick at 1:30. His seminar will discuss ” Establishing and Maintaining Wildlife Food Plots.”

Seminar participants may spend the day at the Ozarks & Outdoor Expo, visiting with vendors and attending the various competitions held throughout the day.
