A Mountain Home man, 37-year-old Lee Euler, reported missing since mid-day Monday, is receiving medical attention for a self-inflicted gunshot wound after being located near the White River in the Monkey Run area late Wednesday morning.
Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says Euler suffered a superficial wound after firing a .25 caliber pistol to his head. He then called 911 requesting help. He was airlifted from the remote area and transported to an undisclosed medical center for treatment.
Earlier Wednesday area residents were asked for assistance in locating Euler.
Mountain Home resident Tammy Knight, Euler’s supervisor at Auto Services Company of Mountain Home, asked for community help in locating the missing man. She said Euler left for lunch Monday afternoon and had not been seen since.
Knight said the Mountain Home Police Department officially listed Euler as a missing person Wednesday morning.
