Former in-home health care worker gets probation for stealing from clients

Kimberly Rowe of Gassville pled no contest to charges stemming from the theft of prescription drugs and money from clients of two companies providing in-home health care services for which she worked at the time.She was sentenced to four years probation and 15 days in the county jail during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

Rowe is scheduled to begin serving her jail time April 2nd.

According to court records, the 40-year-old Rowe, who worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for the two companies, was arrested after Mountain Home police received a report from one of the companies that Rowe had been terminated after the firm had received complaints from customers about missing items.

The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office also received a theft report from another of the in-home health service companies that a client — a cancer survivor — reported missing both prescription painkillers and a small amount of cash.

The missing items were noticed after visit to the home by Rowe, according to investigative records.

Both companies fired Rowe based on the client complaints.
