The Disabled American Veterans Chapter 30 in Mountain Home is seeking volunteer van drivers to transport veterans from the Twin Lakes Area to the VA Medical Centers in Little Rock and North Little Rock.
DAV Chapter 30 representative Paul Craig says the van service has been in continuous operation since 1987 and averages between 4,500 to 5,000 riders per year.
Craig emphasizes these are volunteer positions. However, the VA provides a physical, background check, training and lunch the days of the drive to central Arkansas.
