Early morning traffic stop leads to the arrest of Mountain Home man

An early morning traffic stop has led to the arrest of a Mountain Home man, 41-year-old Richard Charles Burger, on drug related charges. According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, Burger is in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $5,670 bond.Burger was pulled over by a deputy early Friday morning for driving with a suspended license. He was found to have a body attachment for non-payment of child support.

When he was taken into custody, two empty syringes were found on Burger’s person containing methamphetamine residue.

He is being held on charges of felony possession of drug paraphernalia, non-payment of child support, driving on a suspended license and parole violation.

Online Court records indicate Burger has an extensive criminal history related to drugs dating back to 2009.
