“Coffee & Conversations with Family & Friends” will take place Wednesday morning at 9:00 at the Peitz Cancer Support House. Guest speaker and doctor of physical therapy Jessica Brown will discuss home modifications that can benefit patients during and after cancer treatment.”Coffee & Conversations” provides a group environment for family and friends of those affected my cancer to learn more about treatments, side effects, and coping with long term illness.
Caring for a loved one affected by cancer can take many skills and require a great deal of energy. Time spent with those who share similar information and experiences can help those affected by cancer realize their journey isn’t one that has to be ventured alone. It can also open up a special community of friends who understand the importance of caregiving.
